Day 1:Nairobi "Safari Capital of The World"

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Expedition Kenya Safari VIP Service Ambassador, thereafter transfer to the Norfolk Hotel. The Norfolk is a secluded gem in the heart of Nairobi which has welcomed royalty, statesmen and stars alike.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve Home Of The Special Five

After an early morning breakfast we shall head to Samburu National Reserve. The scenic drive will take us through the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya and across the equator. We anticipate to arrive by lunch time at Samburu Intrepids Camp located on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River. 

 

The location is simply breathtaking. Samburu Intrepids Camp consists of exclusive luxury deluxe tents providing a perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River where sometimes elephants or crocodiles come to lounge by the river banks. 

 

Our afternoon game will begin at 4 pm and it will give us the opportunity to see wildlife that can only be found in this section of Kenya's northern frontier. Dinner and Overnight is at Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve Home Of The Special Five

Today you have a full day in Samburu, with an extended morning game drive and afternoon game drive in search of the so called "Special Five" or "Northern Five" that are only found specific to this region north of the equator. The "Special Five" include the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa Oryx, Somali Ostrich, and the Gerenuk. The reserve is also home to the big cats namely the lion, leopard, and cheetah. 

 

It will be fun to note that the elephants exhibit a special reddish color at Samburu from dust bathing in the red soil that is characteristic of Samburu. Did you also know that the Samburu skies offer the best opportunity for Star Gazing. Dinner and overnight will be at Samburu Intrepids Camp.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta Conservancy Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary

Today will be another exciting day of our safari and after an early morning breakfast, we will depart Samburu and head for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to Two of the world's last remaining Northern White Rhino.

 

*Sudan passed away around March 2018 at the age of 45. He was unable to stand and suffered from a string of infections. He is survived by his daughter Najin and grand daughter Fatu. Suni who was Sudan's buddy, passed away in 2014. They had been relocated from a zoo in Czech republic in 2009.

 

We anticipate to arrive in time for lunch at the exclusive Sweetwaters Serena Luxury camp located inside the conservancy and overlooking a water hole that is a center of activity for some of the wildlife that come to quench their thirst.

 

Our afternoon Game Drive will start with a visit to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we get to learn about their rescue stories as well as visit Baraka the Black Rhino. This should be super exciting since the conservancy has a higher wildlife to area ratio than any of the Kenya National Parks.

Day 5: Lake Naivasha Boat Excursion

After an early morning game drive and delicious breakfast, we shall depart for Lake Naivasha for one of a kind unique experience. We anticipate to arrive in time for Lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort whose location by the lake is breathtaking. Our highlight of the day will be a one of a kind Boat Excursion on Lake Naivasha as well as a Walking Safari on nearby Crescent Island "Game Park". Words are not enough to describe the experience and hence one has to experience in order to enjoy.


Lake Naivasha once played host to Joy Adamson, the naturalist and author who is probably best known for her book, 'Born Free', which described her experiences in raising Elsa, the lion cub who went on to achieve international fame.


It is also fun to know that the resort has its own resident giraffes, waterbuck, vervet and Colobus Monkeys as well as regular visits at night by the hippos who come to trim the grass! Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort.

Day 6:Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early Morning breakfast followed by departure to the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Named after the indigenous inhabitants of the area, the Maasai, it is one of the World's richest wildlife reserve and home to an astounding array of wildlife.

 

Accommodations at the world famous Keekorok Lodge where you can experience unmatched safari adventures during your morning and evening game drives. Lunch at leisure followed by exciting afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five. Dinner & overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 7:Maasai Mara National Reserve

Optional early morning Balloon safari where you can enjoy the gorgeous unmatched panoramic view of Maasai Mara's wildlife and scenery *EXTRA COST*

 

Or Early Morning game drive followed by late Morning breakfast or optional full day game drive in the land of the King of the jungle, wildebeest, cheetahs, leopards, hippos just to mention a few.

Day 8: Diani Beach

Today will be our last day in the Majestic Mara and you will enjoy an early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Today is also extra special as we will be flying to Diani Beach where you will spend the next 6 nights relaxing and unwinding on the beautiful white sand beach.

Check out time is 10 am.

Since our flight is scheduled to depart at 2 pm from the nearby Keekorok Airstrip, we have scheduled lunch at Keekorok Lodge.

Transfer to Keekorok airstrip will be from 1:15 PM for your departing flight with Mombasa Air Safari.

Please note that baggage is restricted to only 15 kgs Per Person in soft bags and not suitcases. We will be more than happy to have our Driver Guide bring back any extra luggage back to Nairobi for safe storage. We will bring the luggage with us when we pick you up from Wilson Airport.

Arrival at Ukunda Airstrip Diani is approximately 4;30 pm after which you will be met by a representative of Diani Reef Beach and Spa resort followed by short transfer to the resort for check in.

Day 9: Diani Beach

Diani Beach is a ribbon of flawless tropical beach, with white, fine grained sparkling white sand that is spectacular. A perfect paradise to relax under a beach umbrella on your cozy beach bed enjoying a tropical drink.

 

Day 10: Diani Beach

Diani Beach is the quintessential tropical beach escape offering you the opportunity to indulge at water sports centers that offer everything from kite-surfing to windsurfing. For the adrenaline junkies, tandem sky dives and courses are available. Diani Beach Skydiving offers an experience of a lifetime while enjoying the breath-taking view of Kenya's coastline.

 

Day 11: Diani Beach

Scuba diving lovers are not left out and whether you are a beginner or experienced diver, the beautiful underwater ecosystem will amaze you beyond belief. Deep sea fishing excursions are also available where you get to explore the deep blue waters of Indian Ocean and if you are lucky, you might catch marlins, sailfish, kingfish, barracuda and tuna.

 

Day 12: Diani Beach

For the Golf Lovers, Leisure Lodge Golf club has an exciting 18 hole course that can be played by players of all skill levels. Other fun activities to enjoy include, camel riding on the beach, kayaking in the mangroves, snorkelling, Dolphin watching on Wasini Island, visit to Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, dhow sailing, glass bottom boat excursion, biking on the beach, dhow safari, enjoying local cuisine, dancing to swahili beats, shopping for local art and souvenirs.

Day 13: Nairobi Departure

After a relaxing and fun filled experience along the coast of Kenya, we shall say goodbye to Diani Beach. Check out will be after breakfast and we have scheduled a complimentary airport transfer from the resort to the Ukunda Diani Airstrip. Departure is scheduled at 3:30 pm from Ukunda Diani Airstrip via Safarilink Air.

We anticipate for you to arrive at Wilson Airport Nairobi by 5;30 pm. You will be met by our representative followed by transfer to JKIA for your onward connecting flight home after an exciting and memorable Kenya safari.
