8 Days President Obama's Kogelo Village Tour & Kenya Safari

Day 1: Nairobi

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by Expedition Kenya Safari Driver Guide followed by transfer to Sarova Panafric Hotel.

Overnight: Sarova Panafric Hotel

Meal Plan: Bed & Breakfast

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

Early morning breakfast followed by departure towards Amboseli National Park to arrive in time for lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. The lodge nestles on the foot of Africa's tallest mountain: Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is famous for being the best place in the world to see free ranging elephants as well as other wildlife. Afternoon game drive till dusk will begin from 4pm as we go in search of the variety of wildlife found in the park. We anticipate to capture images of the shy Kilimanjaro peak. Safari dinner will follow later on.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

Early Morning breakfast followed by departure towards Lake Nakuru National Park with game drive enroute. Lunch will be served at Sentrim Elementaita Lodge located on the shores of pelican fringed Lake Elementaita. There is also a possibility of seeing flamingoes. After late lunch we shall proceed with our afternoon game drive as soon as we enter Lake Nakuru National Park. On top of being a bird haven, this park also has numerous wildlife as well as the rare black rhino and white rhino. Safari dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Early Morning breakfast followed by game drive enroute to World famous Maasai Mara National Reserve famous for its spectacular wildlife and the Maasai people. We plan to arrive in time for lunch at Mara Leisure Camp located along Talek River. From 4 pm till dusk we shall explore the Masai Mara wilderness as we go in search of the spectacular wildlife. Safari dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Spend the day in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game reserve where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with Safari Picnic Lunch Boxes to spend the entire day in the wilderness, or you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. Safari Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Camp.

Day 6: Kisumu Town

Early morning breakfast followed by departure towards Kisumu town. Enjoy the exquisite scenery as we pass by Kericho which boasts the world's single largest Tea Plantation as well as home to the first KENYAPITHECUS WICKERI discovered by Dr Louis Leakey at Fort Ternan in 1961. We plan to arrive in time for lunch at the Mantis Impala Lodge nestled on the shores of Lake Victoria. This lodge spells adventure and beauty and is also located within grounds of the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. You can spend the afternoon enjoying the sanctuary which hosts impalas, rare sitatunga, lion, leopard etc. Dinner and overnight at Mantis Impala Lodge.

Day 7: Kogelo Village Ancestral Village of President Barack Obama

Early breakfast at hotel thereafter departure with packed picnic lunch for Kogelo Village – the ancestral home of US President Barack Obama. Spend time at Kogelo Village as per directed. Picnic lunch will be around the legendary Kit Mikayi rock also known as the weeping rock. After visiting Kogelo village, we shall head towards Mantis Impala Lodge for a complimentary evenning boat ride on Lake Victoria which is also the world's second largest fresh water lake. Dinner and Overnight at Mantis Impala Lodge.

Day 8:Kisumu-Nairobi

Early morning check out and breakfast followed by departure towards Nairobi for late lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant. After dinner we shall head to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your night departure flight back home after an exciting safari.
