Experience Kenya Bush and Beach Safari | Adventure and Serenity in One Journey
From the moment you touchdown at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met and accompanied to Wilson Airport for your one hour flight to Samburu. On arrival at a Samburu airstrip you will be met, introduced to your guide and taken to Sasaab for a delicious lunch.
Perched on the edge of a river valley, the architecture of Sasaab blends Swahili and Moroccan design with private plunge pools and breath-taking views across the Laikipia Plateau toward the jagged peaks of Mount Kenya.
A safari in Samburu land is very different to that found in any other part of Kenya. The game viewing is also unique as you search for the Samburu Special Five – Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Gerenuk and Beisa oryx. You’ll find out about Samburu people and their traditions. Sasaab is a luxury tented camp that also offers guests a fantastic opportunity to take a camel ride through the wilderness or experience fly camping, exploring the wilderness and sleeping under the stars. Or just relax and take full advantage of the luxurious spa.
Solio is a luxury lodge in Kenya with something for everyone. Rhinos are of course the stars of the show and encountering them offers a magical experience. With over 200 black and white rhinos living on Solio Conservancy, spending time with such vast numbers of these majestic beasts and seeing them at such close range is fascinating and mesmerising. Head out from the comfort of this exquisite lodge in Kenya to greet the dawn and again at dusk to capture some incredible shots or simply enjoy spending time in their presence.
On top of Wildlife Spotting, there is plenty to do at Solio Lodge including trout fishing in the Aberdare National Park and at Mount Kenya. You can also take a helicopter flight or go horse riding and discover the terrain. The Game Reserve is home to large numbers of black and white rhinoceros, giving a fantastic opportunity to see these incredible animals.
After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the nearby Nanyuki Airstrip where you will take a scheduled flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve and your Masai Mara lodge Sala’s Camp. Then journey by 4×4 to Sala’s Camp with a game drive en-route.
Salas Camp sits in one of the best locations in the whole of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Intimate and secluded, it is nestled along the tree lined banks of the Sand River in the southern tip of the reserve.
You’ll explore the famous Masai Mara National Reserve on spectacular morning or evening game drives, allowing you to see the animals when they are most active. You can also head out into the remote corners of the Masai Mara to find the wildlife and enjoy a bush lunch en-route. Back at the Camp, you can take part in activities, take local walks along the river or relax and enjoy the view from the hammock outside your tent before sun-downers.

When you’re not out discovering the wonderful wildlife there’s plenty to do back at camp, including nature walks and games in the Sand River. Bush breakfasts are a highlight whilst spa treatments and private plunge pools make relaxation easy.
From Sala’s Camp, you will be transferred to Keekorok Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Ukunda, Diani via Wilson Airport with a packed lunch from the camp. On arrival, you’ll be met by a Kinondo Kwetu driver, who will take you on a 10 min drive to this amazing hotel to start your beach holiday in Kenya.
Your new home away from home tropical paradise is a wonderful opportunity to unwind. Relax in the sun and swim in the Indian Ocean. Kinondo Kwetu also offers an impressive array of watersports including kite surfing, deep-sea fishing and scuba diving, as well as land-based activities like game drives, horse-riding and yoga. There are also massage and beauty treatments on offer, as well as a sauna, two swimming pools, tennis and an exercise area.
Kinondo Kwetu is situated at the far end of the remote Galu Beach, south of Diani beach.The rooms are decorated with local artifacts and typical details from the Kenyan coastal region. Each of our rooms are unique and has its own personal charm and features.
Lay down on a sun bed and admire the vast ocean or grab one of our foldable beach chairs and sit with your feet in the incoming tide.
Enjoy breakfast then head out to the nearby airstrip and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. There, you will be met and driven to Giraffe Manor.
This classic ivy-clad manor house is an exceptional property on the Kenyan landscape. What makes it truly remarkable is its population of Rothschild’s giraffe that frequent the hotel to meet, greet and be fed by guests*. These giraffes are wild, making this a unique experience, unlike any other in the world. There is also a breeding and conservation programme at the Giraffe Centre located within the Manor’s grounds.
The giraffes at Giraffe Manor are wild and therefore there is no guaranteed interaction with them at any given time.
As your Kenya safari holiday draws to a close, end on a high by sharing an unforgettable breakfast with the world’s tallest animal. When you’re ready, take a short stroll across the lawn to The Retreat at Giraffe Manor, our tranquil wellness centre located right next door. Here you can enjoy a day of deep relaxation in your heavenly day room suite, all-inclusive of delicious homegrown food, drinks, spa and gym facilities, our stunning infinity pool overlooking the giraffe sanctuary and airport transfers. We will take you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your return flight home*.
