The great city of Nairobi gets its name from the maasai word "Nyirobi" which means "the place of cold waters". Initially Nairobi was a flat swampy ground where the Maasai used to herd their cattle. The city owes its birth to the construction of the Kenya-Uganda Railway that took place between the years 1896-1901. Nairobi was found to be the ideal location for a supply depot, switching yard and camping site in 1899 before the railway labourers embarked on the Great Rift Valley. Since then , the city has earned a reputation as the Safari Capital of the world and boasts the only national park within city limits in the world!
We are very happy to let you know that we have prepared exciting Nairobi Day Trips that can either be enjoyed within the city limits or enjoyed outside the city.
